Good Neighbours

The 'Good Neighbours' Coffee Mornings start again at the Donaldson's Lodge Methodist Chapel on Wednesday 28th September - 10.00am until 11.00am. Everyone is welcome to this gentle hour of social gossip with the locals and some not so local. Feel free to come along - even the coffee is free.
New Bus Shelters

The residents of Donaldson's Lodge are proud to be the recipients of a pair of matching bus shelters. How's that for 21st century change.
Road Upgrade of A698

At long last work is nearing commencement on the upgrading of the A698 through to Cornhill.
The present works are preparation for the long awaited upgrade of road surfacing along this section of road. New gullies are being installed at the flood points east of Donaldson's Lodge to allow the road surface to be raised by approximately 100 mm.
Broadband for Northumberland

Fighting for superfast broadband for all residents of Northumberland
Northumberland County Council considers the provision of superfast and reliable broadband for all residents of Northumberland to be a number one priority.
Anne-Marie Trevelyan has been working on this for over a year, and in August 2011, the County Council was notified by the Secretary of State that Northumberland has been allocated £7.03m to undertake improvement work to the county's broadband infrastructure.
However, the Government expects to see good evidence of the community's commitment to taking up broadband provision, and in order to help build up a clear picture of the existing availability and use of broadband across the county, residents are requested to complete a short questionnaire online which may be found at www.surveymonkey.com/broadband4northumberland
Cornhill residents who do not have computer access in their homes can use the computers in the friendly Village Shop Internet Cafe.
