Message received 24th February 2010 from Farmwatch (Northumbria Police) and posted by Neighbourhood
There have been two reported thefts of heating fuel within the past week.
• The first was reported at an address near Cornhill on Tweed where over £1000 worth of heating was stolen over a period of time.
• Yesterday 554 litres of Kerosene were stolen in the Embleton area. This occurred during daylight hours and it is believed a large 4 x 4 vehicle was involved due to tracks left at the scene.
• A Black 2 wheeled trailer has been stolen from Allerdean area of Berwick during a 3 week period. It was found that a quantity of wheels were stolen also from a property nearby whilst officers were conducting enquiries with regards the theft of the trailer.
If you have any information about these or any other crimes then please contact the Neighbourhood Policing Team on: 03456 043 043.
Finally, we have had reports of a Blue P Registered Ford Transit Van acting suspiciously in the Bowsden area, again please contact police if you see this or any person or vehicle acting suspiciously, no matter how minor you think it might be, we will always endeavour to trace any such person or vehicle acting suspiciously in our area, even if it turns out to be legitimate
